About this charter

Ocean Hunter Charters has been operating out of Homer, Alaska since 2003, guided by Captain Keith Kalke sailing out of Ramp 6, Slip DD-32 on the Homer Spit. Captain Keith runs a six-pack vessel — a comfortable, heated cabin boat equipped with up-to-date electronics — keeping trips intimate and personalized for up to six guests. The operation boasts an IGFA World Record lingcod catch and a 348.2 lb halibut that won the 2008 Homer Derby, underscoring Keith's deep expertise in Kachemak Bay and beyond. Fish cleaning and filleting is provided by the captain at no extra charge, and the crew can coordinate shipping fresh catches home through Homer Fish Processing.

Peak season (Jun 1–Aug 31): $350/person halibut, $400/person halibut/salmon combo. Off-season (Sep 1–May 31): $325/person halibut, $375/person halibut/salmon combo. Winter Kings: $320/person (2-person min) or $299/person (3+). Rockfish or salmon add-on: $50/person. +7.85% tax. Halibut stamps required: $20/person.
