Homer Fishing FAQ
Common Questions About Homer Fishing Charters
Everything first-timers want to know — from licenses and seasickness to keeping your catch and getting fish home.
Before You Book
Yes. Every angler 16+ needs an Alaska sport fishing license. Non-resident prices: 1-day $15, 7-day $45, 14-day $75, annual $100. If you're targeting king salmon, you also need a king salmon stamp (same duration and price as your base license — so a 7-day stamp is another $45). Buy online at adfg.alaska.gov before you arrive — don't wait until the morning of your trip. Your captain can't legally let you fish without one.
