About this charter

Maverick Charters is the result of Homer's biggest charter consolidation: Captain Eric founded Maverick in 2015 (Marine Biology degree, guiding since 2008), then merged in 2020 with Captain Billy to absorb Silver Fox Charters — Homer's longest-running charter operation. The combined fleet runs four vessels: the 56-foot Ultimate (capacity 25 anglers), the 35-foot Outrageous (Bertram, repowered 2019), the 30-foot Julia Lynn (twin Yanmar diesels, 22 knots), and the 28-foot Pacific Sun — all out of 4246 Homer Spit Rd. Both captains are USCG licensed and CPR certified, and the operation covers the full range: halibut, king and silver salmon, rockfish, lingcod, and crab, with all gear and fish cleaning included.

Pricing

$325–$500 per person depending on trip length and type. 56' Ultimate: 3/4 day $325/adult, full day $375/adult, private $5,250. 6-passenger boats: single species $400/person ($2,400 private), combo $450/person ($2,700 private), multi-species $500/person ($3,000 private). Plus 7.85% sales tax.
