Homer Ocean Charters has been operating out of Homer, Alaska since 1979, bringing over 45 years of saltwater fishing expertise to Kachemak Bay and beyond. Their diverse fleet includes the 50-foot Delta Marine Bay Explorer (up to 18 fishing passengers), the 37-foot Delta Marine Seahawk, the 30-foot North River Bountiful, the 32-foot Bayweld Diamond Cape, and a new custom-built 33-foot Galene with twin Honda 350 engines launching in 2026. The operation covers everything from quick 3/4-day halibut trips to long-range expeditions 35–60 miles offshore toward the Barren Islands and the Gulf of Alaska, targeting large halibut, multiple rockfish species, and lingcod — trips that sell out up to a year in advance. Fish filleting is always complimentary, bait is provided, and every captain maintains USCG certification with a safety-first crew culture.
