Destination Alaska Charters is a family-run operation based in Homer, Alaska, founded in 2019 by the Jackson family, who bring over 20 years of combined outdoor guiding experience across Alaska, New Hampshire, and Maine. Owner Scott Jackson brings 30 years of fishing and flying expertise alongside an MBA, while son Brandon Jackson rose from deckhand to licensed captain by 2022. The fleet includes three vessels: the 33-ft M/V Legacy (6 passengers), the 40-ft M/V Wilderness Explorer (12 passengers), and the 44-ft M/V Alaska Endeavor (18 passengers), departing from Homer Spit. Their unique "Fish and Fly" package pairs a floatplane excursion with deep-sea fishing, and multi-day packages combine lodging in their own cabins with halibut and combo fishing in Kachemak Bay.
