D&G Charters is a family-owned and operated charter company based in Homer, Alaska, founded in 2015 when co-owner Captain Garrett relocated from Cape Cod — where he grew up commercial fishing — to pursue his dream of running sportfishing charters. The fleet includes the 36-foot aluminum M/V Sweet T, powered by twin Honda 250 engines, featuring a heated enclosed cabin, walk-around deck, and full onboard restroom, designed by fishing veteran Ron Hurley and described as one of the smoothest-riding vessels in its class. Captain Shannon specializes in salmon fishing aboard the Sweet T, supported by deckboss Sara, while Captain Garrett draws on deep local knowledge to put guests on halibut, salmon, rockfish, and lingcod from January through October. The company emphasizes a welcoming, fun-first atmosphere aimed at building lasting relationships with guests, offering trips from 3/4-day salmon runs to 5-day all-inclusive offshore packages with locally sourced meals.
