About this charter

Central Charters & Tours has been the anchor of the Homer Spit since 1982, making it one of Homer's longest-running family-owned fishing operations. Proudly known as "The Center of it All on the Homer Spit," the company runs a fleet of five vessels — including the FV Bella Vita (custom-built 2015, restored 2023) and the FV Crusader (custom-built 2019 by Raider Boats, restored 2025) — both 32-foot aluminum boats with twin Yamaha 300HP outboards, heated cabins, and private restrooms seating up to six passengers. They offer half-day, 3/4-day, and full-day halibut and combo fishing trips on Lower Cook Inlet, as well as Kachemak Bay wildlife cruises and bear-viewing flights to Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks. No fishing experience is required, and their highly rated captains — including Jordan, Colby, Chelsea, Dave, Faith, and Victoria — provide one-on-one instruction throughout the trip.
